Shelby Hook, RDMS

Blooms’ Health Sonographer | Pelvic Imaging & Endometriosis Advocacy

Shelby Hook, RDMS, is a highly skilled sonographer with advanced training in gynecologic ultrasound — and a rare ability to make patients feel truly at ease. With deep empathy and technical precision, she plays a key role in early identification of endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic pathology that often go overlooked in standard imaging environments.

A former Division I athlete and natural educator, Shelby brings both clinical excellence and a calming presence to each scan. Her work is foundational to the diagnostic process — and helps patients feel seen long before they reach the operating room.

Too often, women are told nothing’s wrong just because nothing shows up on imaging. I’m here to change that — with the right techniques, we can see what others miss.
— Shelby Hook, RDMS

Shelby was drawn to women’s health for a simple reason: too many women with endometriosis were being dismissed when “nothing” showed on ultrasound. She knew better. With the right training and intention, subtle sonographic markers can tell a much deeper story — one that affirms the patient experience and helps guide proper treatment.

At The Offices of Dr. Chandra Spring-Robinson, Shelby works closely with surgical and clinical teams to correlate her imaging with operative findings. That feedback loop is rare — and it’s what makes her scans sharper, her instincts stronger, and her ability to advocate even more impactful.

She’s not just capturing images. She’s changing the experience of what pelvic ultrasound can be.

Every ultrasound is more than a scan — it’s a moment to make a patient feel seen, safe, and supported. And I’m proud to be part of a team that shows up for women in exactly that way.

Shelby believes that clinical excellence and emotional safety go hand in hand. She takes time to explain what she sees, guide patients through the process, and ensure they leave feeling more informed — not more anxious.

Before her career in sonography, Shelby played lacrosse at San Diego State University, where she learned the power of focus, teamwork, and grit. Those same values shape how she shows up for patients every day.

We’re proud to have had Shelby on our team — and grateful for the clarity, care, and comfort she’s brought to so many.
